How did the Soviet Union respond to the actions of the USA?

They created two organisations

• Cominform= the communist information bureau

                               - Set up in September 1947

• Comecon= the council for mutual economic aid

                               - Set up in January 1949

                               - An organisation consisting of the communist countries in Europe

                               - The Soviet Union was in charge; they provided money and military support to the members of Comecon.
