Party development until 1922

The Liberals, Democrats and Radicals' alliance was formed for the 1919 general election. 

The Democratic Liberal Party was officially formed for the 1921 general election with the union of Orlando and Nitti.

Impact on the political development of Italy:

After the Second World War, Nitti led some former Radicals and Democrats to unite with Liberals, joining the National Democratic Union.
