The Treaty of Lausanne (1923)

The Treaty of Lausanne was signed with Turkey on 24th July 1923. It replaced the Treaty of Sevres.


Territorial Terms:

  • The Turkish got back some land that had been given to Greece and Syria, while they still had to accept the loss of their colonies.

  • The Armenians were not given independence.

Military Terms:

  • No limits were placed on the Turkish military

Others:

  • Turkey did not face any reparations.
